The URC returns this weekend, and although there is just the one fixture to be played, it’s set to be an absolute blockbuster between the Stormers and Bulls.

As it stands, the Bulls are third on the log, but they have played two games less than Leinster and the Glasgow Warriors, the teams that lie ahead of them.

The Stormers dwell down in 12th place, but the Cape side have recently found some great form, and will be pretty confident of their chances at their home ground this weekend.

Kick off is at 2pm this Saturday, 8 February.

It is the only fixture in the URC this weekend as it actually makes up for the scheduled clash that was postponed from 21 September last year to avoid clashing with the Currie Cup final.

Meanwhile, the SA Rugby U20 Academy group hit the road running on Monday on the first day of camp in Stellenbosch, with the group going through their paces in two very good on-field unit sessions as well as a solid early-morning workout in the gymnasium.

The squad – announced last week – assembled at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport on Sunday and will be in camp until 16 February before traveling to Georgia for a short tour of three matches, which include two Tests and a clash against a club side.

On Monday, early morning medical assessments were followed by some technical meetings before the squad headed for the gym facilities of the nearby Paul Roos Gymnasium indoor training centre, as well as a technical lineout session.

This was followed by on-field training, during which the players were split into forward and back units. The backs worked on skills execution and passing, while the forwards completed a good couple of lineouts and mauls.
