An uncapped duo have been called up to the Ireland squad as interim boss Simon Easterby sweats over the availability of two key players for Sunday's Test in Scotland.

Munster lock Thomas Ahern and Connacht winger Shayne Bolton have joined the team this week in preparation for the Murrayfield clash in round 2 of the 2025 Six Nations.

According to the IRFU, prop Finlay Bealham and winger Mack Hansen are being treated for leg injuries from last week's win against England in Dublin.

A decision on their fitness, along with veteran prop Tadhg Furlong (calf) and lock Joe McCarthy (concussion), will be made before Easterby names his match-day 23 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sean O'Brien and Mark Sexton have joined the coaching staff and will form part of Mike Prendergast's management for the Ireland A international against England in Bristol on Sunday, 23 February.
