Italy's gain?
Before his recall last month, speculation was rife that the Saracens star might switch allegiance to Italy. Eligible through his Italian grandparent, Lozowski reportedly turned down an approach from the Azzurri in 2022. However, with Italy's recent resurgence in the Six Nations, the 31-year-old was said to be reconsidering his options.

Despite being back in England's plans, Lozowski remains capped just five times—all under Eddie Jones between 2017 and 2018—leaving the door open for a potential international switch with the Six Nations looming.

From Stamford Bridge to Saracens
Lozowski's career could have taken a different path altogether. Once a promising footballer, he was part of Chelsea FC's academy until age 16 before pivoting to rugby. After completing his A-levels, he joined the Leeds Carnegie Academy and later earned an Economics degree from Leeds University.

Rising through the ranks
A two-year stint with Wasps helped Lozowski hone his game before his move to Saracens, where he made an instant impression. Four tries in his first five Premiership outings highlighted his attacking flair.

Lozowski became a key figure in Saracens' domestic and European dominance, earning an England call-up for the 2017 tour of Argentina. His five international caps, though, remain his last to date.

A French detour
After a loan spell with Montpellier, Lozowski returned to Saracens in 2021. He wasted no time making his mark, delivering a Player of the Match display against Bristol in his comeback season.

Whether his international future lies with England or Italy, Lozowski's versatility and pedigree continue to make him one to watch.
