MATT CURRIE has been recalled to Scotland’s Six Nations training squad ahead of Saturday’s round four clash against Wales at Murrayfield. The centre was part of the group at the start of the championship, but dropped out of the build-up to the Calcutta Cup match against England two weekends ago due to a concussion suffered playing for Edinburgh the week before that, but returned to action in spectacular style with a hat-trick for capital club in their morale-boosting win over Munster on Saturday night.

Edinburgh team-mate Ben Muncaster has also been called up to the squad, alongsideGlasgow Warriors loose-head prop Nathan McBeth. The former is a direct replacement in the back-row for Jack Mann and Luke Crombie, who picked up a pectoral injury and a concussion respectively playing for their clubs over the weekend. Meanwhile, the latter will provide extra cover at loose-head prop in case Rory Sutherland (who was a late call-off for the England game with a back spasm) and Jamie Bhatti (who is nursing a rib injury) aren’t fit in time for the Wales game.

Scrum-half Ali Price and winger Ross McCann have returned to Edinburgh Rugby.
