Ronan O'Gara thanks Jordie Barrett for "classy gesture" following Champions Cup clash

Classy.
Leinster Rugby exacted some revenge on La Rochelle this evening with a hard-fought 14-16 win over the French side in their Champions Cup pool clash.
Ronan O’Gara’s side defeated Leinster in both the 2022 and 2023 finals with the latter coming in Leinster’s backyard at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
But it was Leinster who did a number on the former Munster man’s side on their home turf this evening, with lock Joe McCarthy grabbing the Irish side’s only try of the game.
All Black Jordie Barrett started the game for Leinster at fullback after being promoted from the bench at the 11th hour following an injury to Jimmy O’Brien.
And the 27-year-old showed his class post-game, gifting his boots to La Rochelle head coach Ronan O’Gara for his son. A classy gesture no doubt.
Thank you Jordie Barrett. He will never get to wear size 46 but gone off to bed so happy…a classy gesture…Congratulations to @leinsterrugby .. hopefully we get another go.@staderochelais pic.twitter.com/kukCNifCCY
