The Vodacom Bulls have provided an injury update on lock Ruan Nortje, loose forward Elrigh Louw and flyhalf Johan Goosen.

Goosen limped off the field during the Bulls’ final Investec Champions Cup pool match against Stade Francais at Loftus.

The flyhalf had a successful operation and has already completed two weeks of his rehab programme, which is expected to run for eight to 10 weeks.

Goosen is expected to return to action in April, as is Nortje, who sustained a knee ligament injury in the first half of the Vodacom URC match against the Lions at Ellis Park.

Nortje did not require surgery and has already begun his non-invasive recovery and rehab programme.

However, there is still uncertainty around Louw, who sustained what appeared to be a serious knee injury against the Lions and has yet to have an operation due to swelling around the area.

After consultation with a specialist, the 25-year-old is scheduled to have an operation within the next two weeks and his rehab programme will only become clear then.
