The 2025 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia is fast approaching with the upcoming Six Nations set to serve as the final international shop window for players to impress head coach Andy Farrell.

Former Ireland centre Brian O’Driscoll has been on four tours, captaining the Lions in 2005, and is regarded as one of the greatest to have worn the famous red touring jersey.

So when it comes to picking the centre partnership for this summer’s tour – there’s no better man to ask than BOD himself.

Sione Tuipulotu has been sensational for both Glasgow Warriors and Scotland this season and O’Driscoll reckons he’s nailed on at this stage, ahead of the likes of Bundee Aki and Robbie Henshaw.

But who should partner Tuipulotu? The obvious choice for many would be his club and country centre partner, Huw Jones, but O’Driscoll has other ideas. He reckons Ireland and Leinster centre Garry Ringrose is the man for that 13 shirt.

"I think there's a very, very strong chance that if he [Ringrose] stays fit, he could be the starting Lions 13. Defensively, he's very, very good, but he does offer something different than the other 13s," O'Driscoll told Off The Ball.

"Huw Jones I don't think has the ball playing quite like Garry, albeit he runs great lines.

"At the moment it's Tuipulotu plus one and with an inclination to probably veer towards Garry Ringrose. I'm sure Huw Jones in his partnership with Tuipulotu will have something to say about it."

What do you think? Do you agree with O’Driscoll?
