Broncos' legend Wendell Sailor joined Sportsday with Scott Sattler and Matt Rogers to discuss the future of the Brisbane Broncos following sacking of Kevin Walters.

Following a fall from grand finalists to 12th place, the Broncos have found themselves in unfamiliar territory leading to the controversial decision to fire the coach, leaving many former players wondering where the team is headed.

Sailor spoke on the challenging time for the team and despite difficult decisions can understand why the choice was made.

"I understand what the Broncos have done, but am I disappointed for Kevie? 100% I'm disappointed for Kevie," he told Sportsday with Scott Sattler and Matt Rogers.

Following this shock decision, former player and current Broncos trainer Alfie Langer has questioned his role in the club, unsure whether he will return for 2025.

This remark has made fans sceptical of the Broncos future, Sailor fearful of too much change to the team.

"When Alfie Langer, probably the greatest Bronco player of all time, says he is thinking about leaving the club, that concerns me," he added.

Despite concerns, Sailor remains positive for the Broncos future, believing they will always put fans first, the panel hopeful Maguire will see the value in team members like Langer moving forward.

"The Broncos will always be my club, and I'll always walk through those doors because of what they've done for me and my family."

"It is not just a player's club, it's the fans. It's a club for everybody."
