Pieter-Steph du Toit was the Springboks’ MVP as the world champions claimed their first Rugby Championship title since 2019, according to SARugbymag.co.za readers.

Du Toit has been crowned the most valuable player in the Springboks’ triumphant 2024 Rugby Championship campaign, securing an overwhelming 57% of the vote in a SARugbymag.co.za poll.

A cornerstone of the Bok pack, Du Toit was at his imperious best throughout the tournament. His dominant performances at both flanker and lock were pivotal on the road to reclaiming the southern hemisphere title.

Du Toit’s last-minute lineout steal secured a record-setting fourth consecutive victory over New Zealand in Cape Town, while he scored a brace of tries against Argentina in the final-round victory at the Mbombela Stadium.

Ox Nche, whose powerful scrummaging and impact in open play were a strong feature of the Boks’ game plan, garnered the second-highest number of votes with 18%.
