W6N: nine uncapped players in Scotland squad

SCOTLAND coach Bryan Easson has named nine uncapped players in the Scotland squad for the Women's Six Nations, while half a dozen others have been invited to join the group as a day bonus. Three key players – Meryl Smith, Coreen Grant and Emma Wassell – are absent through injury.
Five of the nine newcomers are part of the Edinburgh squad currently competing in the Celtic Challenge: forwards Adelle Ferrie, Aila Ronald and Molly Poolman and backs Hannah Walker and Rhea Clarke. The other four – forwards Becky Boyd and Holly Cunningham and backs Meg Varley and Rachel Phillips – are all based in England.
Of the six to join the squad as day trainers, three are from Glasgow and three from Edinburgh. The Warriors trio comprises Holland Bogan, Emily Coubrough and Poppy Mellanby, while the capital squad are represented by Hannah Ramsay, Talei Tawake and Natasha Logan.
