First half tries for the hosts from Freddy Douglas, Nairn Moncrieff and Jack Brown sent the hosts into half time with a 19-7 lead after Wales hit back through Ioan Emanuel but their efforts were overshadowed by two red cards.
Logan Franklin was shown a twenty-minute red card for a ruck infringement before Tom Cottle was shown a straight red for a clumsy late hit on Noah Cowan.
With the visitors two men down Scotland turned their pressure into points with another Douglas try and replacement Isaac Coates slotting a penalty with Wales only chalking up a Harry Thomas try for their efforts.

Scotland Player ratings
1.Oliver McKenna-6
The Scottish scrum was solid in giving the Scottish backs a stable platform to launch their attacks from and McKenna held his own at set piece and in defence.
2.Joe Roberts-6
Roberts’ lineouts were far the better of the two teams and it really benefitted the home side’s lead for the time he was on the field.
3.Ollie Blyth-Lafferty-6
A strong showing at set piece from Blyth-Lafferty and did his basic skills very well which propelled the home sides pack hugely.
4.Charlie Moss-6
Moss capitalised on a dreary Welsh lineout in the first half to pile the pressure on the visiting pack.
5.Dan Halkon-6
Similar to Moss, Halkon caused the Welsh pack huge headaches and allowed the hosts to twist the screw on a ill disciplined Welsh side.
6.Ollie Duncan-6
Duncan was industrious both on and off the ball with some massive hits in defence and some equally hard runs in attack.
7.Freddy Douglas (C)-8
Douglas was absolutely everywhere and made sure Wales felt his efforts. Threatening at the breakdown on numerous occasions as well as a huge carry for his try a real captains performance.
8.Reuben Logan-7
Logan complimented his captain hugely by putting in a monstrous defensive effort smashing his way into the Welsh attack.
9.Noah Cowan-6
Played a solid first half and distributed the ball solidly unfortunate to be forced off after failing a HIA.
10.Matthew Urwin-8
Urwin set up Jack Brown’s try with a stunning crossfield kick and was always looking to get Scotland on the front foot in attack.
11.Fergus Watson-6
Watson looked electric down the Scottish touchline but also helped the attack with clever cameos in the midfield which kepot the Welsh defence second guessing.
12.Kerr Yule-6
A great attacking option for Scotland was having Yule as distributor off Urwin and it gave a clinical edge to their launch plays.
13.Angus Hunter-6
Hunter lacked the ball but he made up for it with his attacking runs and dummy plays to fix Welsh defenders allowing the Scots to punish the Welsh backfield.
14.Nairn Moncrieff-7
Moncrieff looked a constant threat not only with the ball but his movement off the ball in attack was superb.
15.Jack Brown-7
Brown was squeaky clean in the backfield and allowed the Scottish backline freedom when they had the ball.

Welsh Player Ratings
1.Ioan Emanuel-6
Got Wales back in the game with a vital try for his side and worked it well. Put in a solid shift for the just over the half he played.
2.Harry Thomas-5
Grabbed himself a try but his lineout throwing was far too inconsistent and caused Wales’s attack to stutter in the opening half.
3.Sam Scott-5
Scott was solid but never impacted the game hugely in any way. In attack he was strong in his carries and defensively he was decent.
4.Kenzie Jenkins-5
Jenkins stepped up at lock when his side were down a man and did well in a tricky scenario for his side.
5.Tom Cottle-3
Another Welsh player was punished for the visiting sides’ sloppy discipline. They gave away a pointless penalty and ultimately a dagger-blow red card for Wales.
6.Deian Gwynne-5-
Gwynne would’ve wanted to make a bigger impact on the game and often found himself in the shadow of the game and struggling to feature meaningly.
7.Harry Beddall (C)-7
Beddall was outstanding once again. A constant threat around every breakdown and launched himself at anything in a blue jersey.
8.Evan Minto-5
Minto looked far off his best and was sat down by Freddy Douglas for Scotland’s first try of the game.
9.Logan Franklin-3
24 minutes played and gave away a very avoidable 20-minute red card when Wales were under huge amounts of pressure.
10.Harri Ford- 6
Only played 16 minutes after leaving the field with an ankle injury but a good showing nonetheless.
11.Aidan Boshoff-5
Boshoff only had some half chances in attack and lacked any clear room on the ball. Similar story to Rees-Weldon in defence with Boshoff putting in a solid defensive shift.
12.Steffan Emanuel-6
Emanuel stepped up on occasions as a second receiver giving Wales some good options in attack and never stepped a foot wrong massively in defence.
13.Elijah Evans-6
Evans struggled to get into the game with some sill mistakes in the opening minutes but grew into the game and ended up with a solid showing for himself.
14. Harry Rees-Weldon-5
Rees-Weldon had a very quiet game with the ball in hand and never got going in attack. Defensively he was solid and made some good reads but Wales would’ve wanted to see more in attack.
15.Tom Bowen-7
Bowen looked like Wales’ only real threat in attack and nearly ran in a blockbuster try. He was constantly threatening the Scottish defence and even stepped up to scrum half when needed.
Replacements-
16.Evan Wood-5
17.Louie Trevett-6
18.Owain James-5
19.Luke Evans-5
20.Caio James-5
21.Sion Davies-N/A
22.Harri Wilde-5
23.Elis Price-4
