The RFU wasted no time, announcing Sir Bill Beaumont as the interim Chair. A familiar face in rugby circles, Beaumont is stepping up to guide the game through this transitional phase.
"I am honoured to be taking on the role on an interim basis and would like to pay tribute to the great work and passion of Tom Ilube," Beaumont said. "We now must look forward, and I hope I can help to unite the game and drive rugby forward in England, from the international stage to the community game."

Beaumont's interim appointment still requires the RFU Council's stamp of approval, but his leadership experience positions him as a stabilizing force during this period.
Meanwhile, the search for a permanent Chair will begin shortly, with recruitment plans already in motion.
