Ferguson's tenure in Northampton has been defined by his mastery of the scrum. His coaching brilliance has propelled several Saints tight five players to international acclaim while nurturing front-row talent from the Academy to the first team.

Premiership Glory in 2024
Under Ferguson's watchful eye, the Saints’ scrum was pivotal in securing their first Premiership title in a decade last season. Add to that the Premiership Rugby Cup triumph, and his impact on the team's success is undeniable.

Phil Dowson's Praise: The Ferg Factor
"Ferg's been absolutely integral to all our successes," said Saints’ director of rugby, Phil Dowson. "He's been a cornerstone of our front-row development and a massive contributor across many areas. From breakdown work to individual development plans, his influence has been immense."

The Winds of Change
Dowson acknowledged Ferguson's unwavering commitment but explained the decision for a fresh direction: "Change is part of the positive evolution of any squad. Sometimes, that's within the coaching group too."
