Leinster Legacy
Before his success in Glasgow, Reardon honed his craft at Leinster Rugby, where he progressed through an impressive array of roles: Sports Scientist, Conditioning Coach, Head of Academy Athletic Performance, and ultimately, Senior Performance Coach. This journey culminated in his move to Glasgow in 2021, where his impact was immediate and immense.
Championship Pedigree
Reardon played a pivotal role in Glasgow's remarkable season last year, steering the Warriors to their first URC title in its current format and ending an eight-year league title drought.
Brains and Brawn
Not just a powerhouse in the performance sphere, Reardon also holds a Ph.D. from University College Dublin, where his research focused on Applications of GPS Technology to Rugby Union—a cutting-edge qualification for a cutting-edge role.
Big Boots to Fill
Reardon replaces Dan Tobin, who left Gloucester in October to join Steve Borthwick's England coaching staff. The Cherry and Whites were eager to find someone who could continue the high standards Tobin set—and then take them even further.
Skivington's Seal of Approval
Director of Rugby George Skivington couldn't hide his excitement about the new arrival:
“We were all extremely pleased with what Dan did during his tenure here, but with Cillian, we’ve brought in someone we feel is not just going to maintain the high levels Dan set, but also push us on even further.
It’s clear to see from his time at Leinster and Glasgow the successful impact he’s had, so it’s a testament to the program we have running here that he wants to come on board. It’s a massive coup for the Club.”
