KOLISI LEADS SHARKS TO VICTORY OVER MUNSTER

Kolisi, a pivotal player in the Sharks' lineup, put in a solid 71-minute shift in Durban, helping the home team to a commanding 41-24 win over the Irish squad. This recent appearance marked another successful game since Kolisi returned to the Sharks after his time with Racing 92 in France.

"THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!" – SIYA KOLISI POSTS ON INSTAGRAM

After the match, Kolisi shared his appreciation for the Sharks' fans and the people of KwaZulu-Natal, saying, "Thank you so much for all the support @sharksrugby family and the people of KZN, great to be back here. See you soon."

KOLISI’S JOURNEY FROM FRANCE TO DURBAN

Kolisi has been playing regularly for the Sharks since returning in September. His decision to leave Racing 92, where he played until August, stemmed from a desire to focus on both his physical health and his commitments with South Africa's national team.

"When I arrived in Paris, I didn't know what the future of my international career was," Kolisi revealed in a recent statement, "but when I started playing for the national team again, I realised my body needed rest."

The Springbok captain felt he was unable to give his all to Racing due to international obligations.

“This Decision Comes from a Place of Love”

In their emotional post, Siya and Rachel revealed that the decision to end their marriage was mutual, reached after much reflection. They emphasized that despite the end of their romantic relationship, they remain close and committed to raising their children together.

“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known,” they said.

Partners in Parenthood and Charity

The Kolisis reassured their followers that while their relationship is evolving, they will continue to work together as co-parents. The couple has two children and adopted Siya’s younger siblings following the death of his mother. Their statement also confirmed that they will remain partners in their work with the Kolisi Foundation.

“We are grateful for the love, understanding and support you’ve shown us, and we kindly ask for your respect as we navigate this transition. With gratitude and love, Siya and Rachel,” the message concluded.

From Newlands to the Vineyards

Siya and Rachel first crossed paths in May 2012 at a dinner party after a rugby match at Newlands Stadium. Their romance blossomed, and on 13 August 2016, they got married at the stunning Molenvliet Wine Estate, near Stellenbosch, surrounded by vineyards and oak trees. Now, after more than a decade together, they are embarking on separate paths but remain dedicated to their family and shared causes.
