Italy were victorious in Friday night's U20s Six Nations first round clash in Scotland, with Eduardo Todaro starring in attack and defence for the Azzurri. Scotland took the early lead when multiple phases in the red zone were finished off by a strong effort by Billy Allen.
Federico Zanandrea would steal the lead for Italy 15 minutes later, catching a stray pass from Scotland Skipper Johnny Ventisei, and running it in with ease. It wouldn't take long after the break for Italy to grab their second: Niccolo Beni ran in a brilliant team try, inspired by Malik Faissal. Todaro, who was having a great game in both attack and defense, was able to burst over the line in a short range effort to try and put the game out of Scotland's reach.
Going into the last 10 minutes, substitute Ollie Duncan finished off multiple phases, finding a narrow gap just next to the ruck, restoring hope in this Scotland side. Roberto Fasti would knock a penalty between the posts and secure the win for the Azzurri.
