Ollie Lawrence has denied cheating to get England teammate sin-binned

Bath centre Ollie Lawrence has refuted accusations of cheating or diving to get England teammate Alex Mitchell sin-binned during Bath's narrow 35-34 Premiership loss to Northampton Saints.

The game-changing moment
With Bath trailing 32-31 and just three minutes left on the clock, Lawrence made a half-break.
Mitchell's shoulder collided with Lawrence's chest, their heads clashing in the process.
Despite the open field ahead, Lawrence went down holding his face, prompting referee Anthony Woodthorpe to hand Mitchell a yellow card.
Lawrence clears the air
Addressing the controversy, Lawrence took to TikTok:
"We collided head on head," he explained. "It wasn't bad enough, probably, for me to go down in the way I did. I could've kept going and let the ref pull it back if he thought it was foul play."
'By the letter of the law'
Defending his actions, Lawrence added: "In that moment, whether my judgement was clouded or not, I felt the head contact and went down. I didn't cheat or dive. By the letter of the law, if there's a head collision, you're entitled to go down for safety, and the ref can review it."
