Glasgow Warriors walked over the Dragons at Rodney Parade running out 20-45 winners in a 65-point clash. For the Dragons, it was a familiar picture with a lacklustre performance especially after the half time break.

The hosts only managed to cross the whitewash in the first half. Tries from James Benjamin and Shane Lewis-Hughes respectively were all the Dragons’ attack was able to threaten the visiting try line.10-points from the boot of Lloyd Evans was all the hosts could muster across both halves.

On the complete opposite, the visitors ran in eight tries from Johnny Matthews, Jack Mann, Duncan Weir, Nathan McBeth, Seb Cancelliere and a double from George Horne blasting the home side away from ever challenging the lead.

1.”We showed a lot of positive signs” – Tiatia impressed despite the heavy scoreline.

Although the Dragons were dominated on the scoreboard head coach Filo Tiatia was upbeat about his sides showing at Rodney Parade.

“First half. We showed a lot of positive signs, a lot of good moments, good sets. Yeah. The second half was challenging when we weren’t on it, a bit of fatigue and made some critical errors”

2. “They’re a good team, a good side” – Tiatia understands the magnitude of his sides opposition

“They’re a good team, [a] good side. There are a lot of players that represent the national side and they get some players that come and play for them. So it’s always an opportunity to play for the club. Similarly, our international players have been with Wales and had no game time but were unavailable for us. So it is what it is”

3.”He’s worked really hard to get where he is at” – Tiatia praises inclusion of loanee Scott Williams

“Scott has worked really hard, he has ambitions to keep playing at this level. He’s worked really hard to get where he is at. He’s played for Pontypool. So yeah, we thought there was an opportunity for him to be rewarded and you know, he’s had some good moments when he come on”

4.”we’re looking forward to getting players back from injury” – Tiatia understands the mountain his side must climb but is expecting reinforcements.

The Dragons were without key figures through injury such as flanker Taine Basham’s absence being felt in his sides efforts.

“That’s right. It’ll be a tough challenge. Again, it’s a niggly preparation week, so no, we’re looking forward to getting players back from injury and, and hopefully I get some more depth in able to pick players.”
