The IRFU confirmed that O’Mahony—one of the nation's most passionate captains—and Healy, Ireland's most-capped player, will retire from rugby altogether, while Murray is set for an overseas move when his Munster contract expires this summer.

Between them, the trio have defined an era of Irish rugby, boasting five Six Nations titles, two Grand Slams, and over 100 caps each. But they're not done yet—their final mission? Clinch one last Six Nations crown, with crucial clashes against France and Italy still to come.

O’Mahony’s final ride—could he play abroad?

O’Mahony, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve, admitted he might entertain an overseas stint but hinted that Munster will likely be his last stop.

“This is my final contract in professional rugby, at least here. This means I can really savour it,” he said.

“I can plan for my final matches, like those during Christmas and at Thomond Park. I have no desire for an extended farewell tour, but I can mentally tick off milestones as the season progresses.”

From back-row enforcer to… gardening guru?

Away from the pitch, O’Mahony has a surprising second passion—gardening. His pristine lawn has become the stuff of legend, with fans flocking to admire his handiwork.

One fan raved: “Garden looks great, Peter, well done.”

Another chimed in: “I love your home interiors and garden of dreams.”

A third added: “Beautiful garden, a lot of hard work. Hydrangeas are my favourite.”

Could a gardening TV series be next on the cards for O’Mahony? Or will he swap the rake for the whistle and dive into coaching? One thing's for sure—his next move will have fans watching closely.

QUIZ: Can You Name the England XV that Won the 2020 Six Nations?

England last won the Six Nations in 2020, in what was a crowning achievement during the Eddie Jones era. Coming off the back of the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final heartbreak, England bounced back to win their seventh Six Nations title since the competition’s Italian expansion in 2000.

England secured the trophy with a win in Rome, as they handed Italy a one-sided 34-5 bonus point defeat. We are challenging you to remember who started for England that day, as the match was played in front of an empty stadium during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

You have five minutes to provide your answers, good luck!
