Thirty-seven players have assembled in Bristol today (Monday 10th March) for a four-day Red Roses camp.

Players from Gloucester-Hartpury and Saracens are unavailable for the camp due to their involvement in the Premiership Women's Rugby final on Sunday 16th March, presenting an opportunity for emerging pathway players, and those who have impressed in the PWR, to receive a call-up.

Find your local Greene King and settle in to the Six Nations!

Following an agreement with Gloucester-Hartpury, Jade Shekells is available to attend the camp as she continues to get better as a Red Rose.

"We want to expose some of the developing future talent, and those who have performed well in the league, to the Red Roses environment," head coach John Mitchell said.

"Their inclusion will not only aid their understanding of what it takes to become a Red Rose but will also prove beneficial for their development and the squad's Guinness Women's Six Nations preparations."

On the pathway players included, Head of Women's Performance Charlie Hayter added: "It is a fantastic opportunity for the girls coming in from the pathway to experience a senior international environment.

"The pathway is designed for aspirational players to maximise their potential and we believe exposing this group to the Red Roses will inspire and equip them to do so."

The official Red Roses Six Nations squad will be announced on Monday 17th March.

QUIZ: Can You Name the England XV that Won the 2020 Six Nations?

England last won the Six Nations in 2020, in what was a crowning achievement during the Eddie Jones era. Coming off the back of the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final heartbreak, England bounced back to win their seventh Six Nations title since the competition’s Italian expansion in 2000.

England secured the trophy with a win in Rome, as they handed Italy a one-sided 34-5 bonus point defeat. We are challenging you to remember who started for England that day, as the match was played in front of an empty stadium during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

You have five minutes to provide your answers, good luck!
