From Wales to the Pacific

Cunningham led Wales for three years, guiding them to their best Six Nations finish in 13 years back in 2022. However, after a turbulent 2024—winning just four of 11 Tests and navigating tense contract talks—he departed by mutual consent last November.

Facing familiar foes

After a brief spell with Llanelli Wanderers, Cunningham is now tasked with leading the Fijiana XV at the World Cup, where they will go head-to-head with Wales, Scotland, and Canada in the pool stages.

“Huge potential”

"The potential of this group is huge, and I am excited and honoured to be given this opportunity," said Cunningham. "It's a massive year for women's rugby, and I can't wait to unlock the talent within this team."

Fiji’s bold move

Currently ranked 16th in the world, Fiji believe Cunningham can elevate the team's performances on the biggest stage. Can he deliver an upset against his former side?
