The announcement was confirmed by head coach Stuart Lancaster during a Thursday press conference.
The England international has been out of action for two months following groin surgery in November, but now, he's ready to step back into the spotlight.
“Farrell is expected to start in this decisive fixture, which could make or break Racing's European campaign.
"He trained well today," Lancaster revealed. "He's confident he can start the match. He may not play 80 minutes, obviously, because he's coming back from a long injury."
“Struggles in the City of Light”
Farrell joined Racing 92 as a headline signing this season but has struggled to make his mark in Paris. Despite featuring in eight of the first nine Top 14 games—while managing groin pain—his progress was derailed by surgery to treat a pubalgia issue.
French outlet L'Équipe didn't hold back, labelling Farrell a “flop” after his rocky start. Meanwhile, rumours of a Premiership return have been swirling, with Bristol Bears and Leicester Tigers reportedly interested in bringing the fly-half back to England.
This weekend's match provides the perfect stage for Farrell to silence critics and kick-start his Racing career.
