Finn Russell (Scotland) – The Magician Who Lost His Wand

Moments of magic? Sure. But when Scotland needed him most, he vanished. A missed conversion against England in the dying moments and a nightmare outing versus France summed up a tournament where his usual swagger fizzled out.

Peter O'Mahony (Ireland) – Time Waits for No Man

A warrior for Ireland, but Father Time has no mercy. This was a tournament too far for the veteran. Struggling to make his usual impact, O'Mahony looked off the pace and was a shadow of the enforcer Ireland fans had come to expect.

Michele Lamaro (Italy) – Captain Chaos

The Italian skipper sets high standards — and didn't meet them. Benched for Italy's final game, he then came on and picked up a baffling yellow card almost immediately. His lack of discipline was costly and summed up a frustrating campaign.
