The 24-year-old second-rower made the move to StoneX Stadium from Harlequins in 2022 and has since become an integral part of the Men in Black.
Rising through the ranks
Tizard made his professional debut for Harlequins at just 19 in the Premiership Rugby Cup, also gaining valuable experience with London Scottish in the Championship. After impressing for England U20s in the 2020 Six Nations, he quickly established himself as a regular at The Stoop before making the switch to Saracens.
His first outing for Sarries came against his former side, and he played a crucial role in their Premiership-winning campaign, starting in the Final at Twickenham in his debut season.
England recognition and future ambitions
Tizard's standout performances earned him a call-up to England's Autumn Nations Series squad in 2022, further highlighting his rapid rise in the game. Now, with his long-term future secured, he's eager to help Saracens continue their upward trajectory.
"I am really looking forward to the next stage of my time here with Sarries,” said Tizard. “I truly believe this group will continue to grow, and I hope to play my part in that. The standards set here mean we are constantly pushed to improve, and we all feel like we're at the start of something special."
McCall: "Hugh is central to our future"
Saracens Director of Rugby Mark McCall is thrilled to have Tizard locked in for the long haul, believing he will play a vital role in the club's next chapter.
"At Saracens, we want players whose impact on the field improves our team and whose personality and energy improve our club. Hugh has become a central figure in how we are shaping the future of Saracens, alongside a young and exciting playing group.
"We are delighted he has committed his future to the club. His leadership, work rate, and energy will be fundamental to everything we hope to achieve together."
Tizard's extension is another statement of intent from Saracens, as they continue to build towards sustained success.
