The Japan head coach, who missed Thursday's press conference, looked full of energy and enthusiasm as he led Japan's final training session at Twickenham on Saturday.
In the 64-year-old’s absence, assistant coach Neal Hatley stepped in to answer questions, confirming that his boss would indeed be present for the big match.
"Eddie will be there with bells on. You've known him long enough to know he's not missing this. It's just a precaution. He'll be fine for the weekend, no problems," Hatley assured.
"He's unbelievably passionate about improving this Japanese team. He couldn't be more excited about coming to Twickenham. He looks forward to every game."
Hatley, who has worked alongside Jones in England, Australia, and now Japan, also dismissed any criticisms directed at his colleague, emphasizing the trust he has in Jones' leadership.
"You vote with your feet, and this is the third time I've had an opportunity to work with him and it's the third time I've jumped at it," Hatley said.
"I've enjoyed working with him immensely. He challenges me daily to be the best version of myself and get the best version of the players.
“I've enjoyed my time immensely – it was a no-brainer for me.”
