Bristol Bears have pulled off a major coup, snapping up Pedro Rubiolo, one of Argentina's brightest young stars, on a long-term deal ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 21-year-old second-row dynamo, who's equally at home in the back row, is making the switch from Newcastle Falcons after two seasons lighting up the North East.

19 Caps and Counting
Rubiolo already boasts 19 international caps for Argentina, debuting against the Springbok juggernaut at just 19 years old. Standing at 6ft 3in and weighing in at 114kg, the Pumas enforcer started in the heart of Argentina's pack during last weekend's clash with Ireland in Dublin.
Pat Lam's Take
Bears' Director of Rugby, Pat Lam, is understandably thrilled:
*"Pedro is one of the rising stars of Argentinian rugby and has already established himself as the starting lock in the Pumas squad at just 21 years old.
"He's impressed domestically with Newcastle Falcons and internationally with Argentina, starting key games in the Rugby Championship and this Autumn Nations Series.
"His physicality and work rate will be a massive boost to our forward pack, and we're excited to welcome him into the Bears family next season."*
A Winning Resume
Rubiolo was a standout in Argentina's victories over both the Springboks and All Blacks this summer, proving his credentials on rugby's toughest stage.
Rubiolo's Reaction
The man himself is pumped for the next chapter:
*"I'm excited to be joining Bristol Bears. It's an ambitious club with an exciting style of rugby, and I can't wait to get started.
"Having spoken to Pat Lam and seen the facilities, I know this is the perfect environment for the next stage of my career.
"I've had an incredible time with Newcastle Falcons and I'm grateful for everything the club has done for me."*
The Bears Are Building
With Rubiolo on board, Bristol fans can look forward to seeing one of international rugby's most promising talents in the famous Bears jersey next season.
