BATH PLAYER RATINGS
15. Tom de Glanville – 8
A neat finish from the fullback gave Bath the perfect start while his attacking skills were again
top-notch.
14. Joe Cokanasiga – 6
The winger in some try-scoring form at the moment, as a great line from Ojomoh gave him his
fifth try in three matches. After a strong opening, forty Cokansiga forgot to put the magic spray
on his hands with several drops from unthinkable positions.
13. Ollie Lawrence – 7
It’s been an eventful week for the England centre, but Lawrence put his efforts into a bright
start at the Rec, linking up with his centre partner while also crashing it up. Quick thinking from
the centre grabbed him a try as he picked and go from inches away to grab a well-earned try.
12. Max Ojomoh – 8
A lovely break from the centre gave burst the hosts into life as he burst through the defence to
break into the 22 before they recycling possession to score with de Glanville. After a tricky first
half of the season with injury, he is coming back into form again, and a great gather and pass
from a Russell chip set up Bath’s third. It was a performance that showed why he is still highly
rated.
11. Ruaridh McConnochie – 7
In what was a frantic game, the action did follow the winger with limited work coming down
his channel.
10. Finn Russell – 7
With the host’s quick ruck speed, the fly-half could produce some wonderful passes while
scoring a neat try for himself. Russell’s first half was special, but he was unable to produce the
flair as the game wore on.
9 Ben Spencer (c) – 7
With a quick ball on his side, Spencer was able to deliver some great passes from the base of
the ruck, giving Russell the tools to produce his magic.
1. Beno Obano – 6
A solid display from the prop as he wore down the Clermont pack.
2. Tom Dunn – 7
While the lineout was still a little bit inconsistent, Dunn was a menace around the park,
particularly in defence, but the set-piece will have to improve as the season moves forward.
3. Thomas du Toit – 9
The prop was at his powerful best but was unable to force Mike Adamson’s whistle until the
second half, but the South African showed his power with a crucial try before grabbing his
brace moments later.
4. Quinn Roux – 7
A strong display around the field but again struggled at lineout time.
5. Charlie Ewels – 7
A great performance with one glowing area of improvement needed, which is the lineout with
it somehow misfired on occasions
6. Ted Hill – 8
Back after being rested last week, Hill was a useful presence in the 10m channel but perhaps
was not at his best at the breakdown, with the flanker unable to slow down the speed of the
ball from the visitors. Despite a few fumbles, Hill was having a solid game and produced a
great, bruising run.
7. Miles Reid – 8
The flanker produced an excellent support line from Ojomoh’s break to help recycle possession
for De Glanville’s try. Reid was everywhere and was able to show his power throughout.
8. Alfie Barbeary – 8
In some of his best form, Barbeary had another great game both in defence and attack; a key
tackle on a Clermont counter helped force a turnover. His power game was crucial in giving his
side momentum.
BATH REPLACEMENTS
16. Niall Annett – 6
A decent display off the bench, but it was not his best at the set-piece. but again he was a
livewire in the lose
17. Francois van Wyk – 6
Added power to the game in a solid display from the bench
18. Will Stuart – 7
Came close to a try at the depth, but, again, it was a great option and power to use from the
bench.
19. Ross Molony – N/A
20. Josh Bayliss – 8
The flanker delivered a strong performance off the bench, showing his attacking work with his
footwork and pace in the wide channels, as well as an edge to his defensive work.
21. Louis Schreuder – N/A
22. Orlando Bailey – N/A
23. Ethan Staddon – N/A
