In a thriller at Allianz Stadium, Scotland's Calcutta Cup stranglehold came to an end as Finn Russell's last-gasp conversion attempt drifted wide, handing England a precious victory.
Then on Sunday, France turned the Stade Pierre-Mauroy into a try-fest, running in 11 against Italy to set up a blockbuster clash with Grand Slam-chasing Ireland.
From powerhouse forwards to electric backs, here's our Six Nations Team of the Week for Round 3.
1. Jean-Baptiste Gros (France) – The silent assassin
Moves like a back, hits like a freight train. The French loosehead is turning the No.1 shirt into his personal property with performances like this.
2. Elliot Dee (Wales) – Throwing darts
Wales’ lineout woes disappeared with Dee on the pitch. Solid at the set-piece and a key cog in the Dragons’ improved performance.
3. Will Stuart (England) – Flying under the radar
Quietly becoming one of England's most reliable players. A Lions call-up isn't out of the question if he keeps this up.
4. Maro Itoje (England) – The master of the dark arts
Treads the fine line between genius and mischief. Commanding in the set-piece, monstrous in defence, and crucial at the breakdown.
5. Tadhg Beirne (Ireland) – Gets better with age
The longer the game went on, the more he influenced it. Made some game-changing plays as Ireland took control.
6. Jamie Ritchie (Scotland) – Breakdown bully
Made life miserable for England at the rucks. Caught a nasty shot from Ollie Lawrence, but kept going like a warrior.
7. Ben Earl (England) – England's human wrecking ball
His carrying was England's biggest weapon. Gave away the odd silly penalty but more than made up for it with his relentless work rate.
8. Grégory Alldritt (France) – The magician in the pack
Absolute box office. Back to his world-class best, combining beautifully with Ramos and creating magic out of nothing.
9. Antoine Dupont (France) – Rugby's cheat code
Same old story: Dupont turns up, and France play like a team from the future. A joy to watch.
