Glasgow Warriors fight back against Bulls to clinch United Rugby Championship title

  • Scottish side come from 13-0 down to triumph 21-16

The captain of Glasgow Warriors, Kyle Stern, saluted his side's collective effort as they lifted the United Rugby Championship title after a hard-fought 21-16 victory over the Bulls at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Tries from Scott Cummings, George Turner and Huw Jones, all converted by George Horne, ensured that the Warriors were crowned champions for the first time since 2015 after a dramatic fightback. At one point they trailed the Bulls 13-0, thanks to two Johan Goosen penalties and a conversion to Marco van Staden's try. Goosen also added a third penalty in the second half.
