Boks v All Blacks at DHL Stadium: All you need to know

Rugby’s greatest rivalry will play out at the iconic DHL Stadium for the first time on Saturday when the Springboks face the All Blacks in the Castle Lager Rugby Championship.

There will be so much to experience at DHL Stadium before the main games kicks off at 17h00, so make sure you get down there early and make the most of every moment.

– Get there early – There is a capacity crowd attending this match, so please plan accordingly for congestion. There will be no tickets available for sale at the stadium. Only tickets purchased via Ticketmaster are valid.
– This is a mobile ticket only event – which means there are no paper or electronic PDF tickets. Your phone is your ticket. Ensure that you have your tickets available on your phone before you arrive at the stadium, to make the entry process as easy as possible. – Gates at DHL Stadium open at 12h30, with kick-off of the curtain-raiser between the Springbok Women and Barbarians RFC at 13h30 and the main game kicking off at 17h00. If you can't make it early enough to support the Springbok Women at 13h30, aim to be inside the stadium no later than 15h30 and in your seats by 16h40 to ensure you do not miss any of the pre-match entertainment on the field, the anthems and the Haka.
– There are a variety of live performances set to take place both before and after the rugby in the stadium, with cold beverages on sale from multiple bars around the podium, concourse and Level 6. CLICK HERE for more information on the pre-match activities.
– – There is no parking available at the venue or in the precinct without a vehicle access permit or issued ticket . Do not bring vehicles into the direct precinct – Park remotely at either the CTICC, Civic Centre or from the park-and-ride options in Century City and UCT.
– There are free MyCiTi shuttles for all ticket holders from UCT, Century City, CTICC, Thibault Square and Civic Centre stations. CLICK HERE for more information on parking and shuttle options.
– All seats are numbered. The stadium will be at capacity so all spectators must sit in the correct seat as allocated on the tickets.
– No Umbrellas are allowed in the stadium.
– No braaing is allowed anywhere in the stadium precinct and those found braaing will be subject to a fine.

Get there early

Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 12h30 with the Springbok Women in action against Barbarians RFC at 13h30. There will be plenty of entertainment and fun activities in the stadium ahead of the Castle Lager Rugby Championship clash, making this far more than just a rugby game. Digital tickets from Ticketmaster will be the only way to gain entry, so ensure that you have your tickets available on your phone before you arrive at the stadium, to make the entry process as easy as possible. Parking and shuttles

With heavy traffic congestion expected in the area and no parking in the precinct without VAP or issued ticket, take advantage of the parking and free MyCiTi shuttles operating from UCT, Century City Steelbridge E-Parking, CTICC and the Civic Centre to make sure you don't miss out. SA Rugby kit drop

SA Rugby will be collecting unused boots, balls, kits, and equipment at the UCT and Century City Park and Ride areas as well as on entry to the stadium. All donations will be refurbished and redistributed to underprivileged communities with the aim of helping children and grassroots clubs have access to the game that we all love.

Each item that is donated will also be assigned a unique number which allows the donor to be entered into a lucky draw to stand a chance of chance of winning a jersey that has been signed by the SA Rugby Legends.

Road closures

The following road closures will be in effect: Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Vlei Road, Stephan Way, and Granger Bay Boulevard, Fort Wynyard Street will all be closed from 06h00 until 22h30, with restrictions on Helen Suzman Boulevard, Beach Road and Hans Strijdom Avenue from 10h00 to 22h30.

E-Hailing

It is recommended that those using e-hailing are dropped off and collected in the CBD at DF Malan Drive opposite the Artscape Theatre, Hertzog Boulevard or Jan Smuts Street and then use the MyCiTi shuttle which is free to all event ticket holders from the Century City, UCT, CTICC, Civic Centre Station or Thibault Square Station, or alternatively use the Fan Walk.

E-hailing is geo-blocked to a dedicated e-hailing drop-off area in P13, Main Road, between York and Wigtown Road, Greenpoint, but spectators are warned that drop-and-go and pick-up in this area will have long delays due to expected traffic congestion.

Other information

Please note that umbrellas are prohibited at DHL Stadium and will NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE STADIUM. Please bring a rain jacket should there be a threat of rain.

No spectators will be allowed to take food or drink into the stadium. There is also no braaing allowed anywhere in the stadium precinct, including all public and parking areas. Those found braaing will be fined.

Spectators are urged to be aware of the threat of car jamming in parking areas and pickpockets and keep your valuables close to you at all times.

Please note that no spectator is allowed access to the pitch. Any person invading the pitch can be prosecuted as this is a criminal offence.

DHL Stadium is a smoke/vaping-free building. Smoking is permitted in designated areas on Level 02 Podium (outside). No smoking/vaping is allowed in any suites or on the stands.

Flagpole or banner pole of any kind, unless it is made from inflammable and flexible plastic and does not exceed 1 metre in length 1cm in diameter
Ambush marketing items
Animals
Liquor
Drunkenness and unacceptable behaviour
Dangerous weapons as defined in Dangerous Weapon Act, 1968 (Act No.71 of 1968) including knives and sticks
Unauthorized Cameras with detachable lenses
