Lions, Sharks stars making Euro moves

Lions centre Marius Louw is reportedly set to join Sale Sharks in July, while scrumhalves Cameron Wright and Nico Steyn are rumored to be in discussions with overseas clubs.

Sunday newspaper Rapport reveals that Sale boss Alex Sanderson has identified Louw as a key addition to their midfield. The 29-year-old joined the Lions in 2022 from the Sharks.

Sale's South African contingent, including Nick Schonert and Jean-Luc and Dan du Preez. However, the Du Preez twins are reportedly attracting interest from French clubs, with Dan linked to Montpellier and Jean-Luc to Bordeaux-Bègles.

Meanwhile, the Sharks’ Wright is understood to be in talks with French club Oyonnax, while Lions’ Steyn is linked with Edinburgh.

These potential moves follow news of DHL Stormers halfback Herschel Jantjies departing for Bayonne, and Paul de Wet set for a switch to the Vodacom Bulls.
