Press Pass | Munster v Emirates Lions
Hear from Munster Defence Coach Denis Leamy and back-row forward Jack O’Donoghue ahead of Saturday’s Round 7 URC fixture against the Emirates Lions at Thomond Park, 7.35pm kick-off.
Leamy describes the opposition Munster face in just a few days time, and the importance of the game.
“We are used to playing in big games, most weeks it feels like they are big games. Lions have had a great start to the season and they pose a big threat and they deserve a lot of respect”.
O’Donoghue spoke about coming back into training after the international break, the game against the Lions this weekend, as well as the impact of Munster’s new Forwards Consultant, Alex Codling.
He mentions that “the break has been really good, and we now have mind and body freshness. We have had two tough weeks of training and have worked hard on certain areas that we will hopefully be able to show this weekend”.
“This game is an incredible curtain raiser for this next block and what we are going to face for the next eight games. You can't dip your toe in, we have to dive straight into this incredible challenge and I think people are really ready to step up and face that head on”.
