World Rankings: Can Ireland overtake the Springboks?

Ireland takes on Australia in the last test match of the year. Bok fans will be keeping a close eye on this one.
The Springboks final world rankings points and position have been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the 2024 test rugby season wraps up this weekend with one more test match. Ireland hosts Australia with plenty to play for in terms of the world rankings.
IRELAND VS AUSTRALIA: PERMUTATIONS
By virtue of the vast gap between the two nations, no margin of victory can give Ireland any points.
Meaning, the Springboks will finish the year as the number one ranked side in the world.
However, a loss to Australia would cause a huge shake up to the world rankings. If Australia win – by any margin – they will gain two points and Ireland would lose two points.
Therefore, an Australia win would see Ireland drop to THIRD with New Zealand finishing the year in second place. Furthermore, the same result would see Australia finish the year in SIXTH spot.
SPRINGBOKS WATCHING CLOSELY
So, while Ireland cannot close the gap on South Africa they can fall further behind.
Moreover, an unlikely Irish loss would see SA’s gap over Ireland extended by two more points. Currently, the Boks are two points clear at the top with 92.78 points compared to Irelands 90.78.
Furthermore, a loss would see them drop to 88.78, giving the Boks a huge four point lead over Ireland. However, Ireland go into the match as huge favourites.
DO YOU THINK IRELAND WILL BEAT AUSTRALIA OR CAN THE AUSSIES UPSET THEM AND CAUSE A HUGE SHAKE-UP IN THE WORLD RANKINGS?
