The URC reignites following a month-long hiatus.

It was another successful tour for the Springboks, who finished the year with eleven wins in thirteen, but now it's time to get back to club rugby.

Following December 20, the nitty-gritty URC will feature for weeks on end with no international break due for a couple of months – playing regularly will allow teams to build momentum and allow onlookers to identify who are serious title contenders.

It has been a semi-successful start by the South African contingent, with the Bulls – placed second, ten points behind leaders Leinster – the nation's highest-ranked side; the Lions are one point behind Jake White's team; the Sharks are next in ninth, and Stormer lay in thirteenth, but with a game in hand.
