Springboks' next generation: 10 rookies to watch in 2025

Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus has a lot of youth at his disposal, many of whom will be tried and tested in 2025. Bok fans must wait until early July to see the green and gold glisten across their screens.
South Africa has become synonymous with depth, able to field two starting fifteens that would give the All Blacks a run for their money.
The talent pool is so deep that Erasmus invited eighty-two players to Springboks' first alignment camps of the year, many of whom are under twenty-three.
Best of the best
An abundance of rising stars is expected to feature in the coming years; so, who are the best of the best? Here's my top ten (in no particular order):
- Jurenzo Julius
- Ethan Hooker
- Suleiman Hartzenberg
- Reinhardt Ludwig
- Ethan Bester
- Henco van Wyk
- Renzo Du Plessis
- Phatu Ganyane
- Jonathon Roche
- Sam Francis
Erasmus highlight's alignment camps importance
"Our alignment camps have proven invaluable in the last few years as it offers us the opportunity to present our structures for the season, as well as the Springbok culture and way of doing things," Erasmus stated
"The focus at this camp will be to get everyone on the same page for the 2025 season, which will be vital in laying a good foundation for us to build on with a challenging campaign coming up.
"I'm also excited for the new players in the mix, who have made their mark at franchise level, and we are excited to see them receive this opportunity to get a taste of what is expected of them at the highest level."
