Rassie Erasmus has started the mind games ahead of the first Test against Ireland by predicting the visitors’ lineup for the clash at Loftus Versfeld.

With one week to go before the Springboks take on Ireland in the first of the two-Test series, Erasmus took to Twitter to predict Ireland’s matchday squad for the clash at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld.

RASSIE VS IRELAND: Let’s spice it up!

The big question around Ireland’s lineup is at scrumhalf, with New Zealand-raised Jamison Gibson-Park ruled out of the tour.

Erasmus has predicted that Farrell will back an all-Munster halfback pair, with Craig Casey joining club teammate Jack Crowley in the starting lineup, leaving centurion Conor Murray on the bench.

The Springbok coach also expects Ireland to go with a six-two split between forwards and backs, with Ryan Baird and Nick Timoney as the replacement loose forwards, but included that Leinster centre Robbie Henshaw would be on the bench if the tourists went with a five-three split.

The tweet comes after Erasmus encouraged welcomed a stoking of the rivalry between the two nations, during a press conference this week.
