Tighthead prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye has extended his contract with the Lions.
Ntlabakanye was reportedly on Toulouse’s radar last year, with the French club prepared to buy him out of his Lions contract that was set to run until June 2026.
However, the Lions on Wednesday announced that the 25-year-old will continue playing his rugby in Johannesburg until at least 2028.
Ntlabakanye made his Lions debut in the Pro14 Rainbow Cup in 2020.
He has since made 42 appearances in the Vodacom URC and another 11 in the EPCR Challenge Cup.
