Former England boss Eddie Jones will return to Twickenham in a new role after being signed as an ITV pundit for the 2025 Six Nations.

Jones, who currently coaches the Japan national team, will provide analysis for four of England’s five matches, including their opening fixture against Ireland in Dublin on 1 February.

The 64-year-old Australian’s last visit to Twickenham saw him coach Japan in a 59-14 defeat to England in November, where he alleged he was verbally abused by a spectator at half time.

Jones’ tenure as England coach, which ended in late 2022, saw him guide the Roses to three Six Nations titles, including the 2016 Grand Slam.

He will join World Cup winner Jonny Wilkinson in the ITV studio, though fellow ex-England supremo Clive Woodward will not feature after stepping back from punditry following the 2023 World Cup.
