
Cheetahs maul Leopards in SA Cup

Scrumhalf Jandre Nel scored four tries in the Cheetahs’ thrashing of the Leopards in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Coach Frans Steyn’s side bounced back from last week’s 45-29 shock loss to Boland in Wellington with an 11-try, 69-0 victory in round two of the SA Cup.
The Cheetahs led 34-0 at the break.
Their other tries were scored by winger Banie Britz, flanker Daniel Maartens, hooker Louis van der Westhuizen (two), fullback Cohen Jasper, winger Prince Nkabinde and centre Raegan Oranje, while Jasper kicked seven conversions.
In Friday’s other SA Cup match, the SWD Eagles beat the Border Bulldogs 48-22 in George.
