Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Northampton Away

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Saturday’s Investec Champions Cup Round 4 clash away to Northampton Saints (3.15pm, live on Premier Sports).
Saturday’s win over Saracens moved Munster up to second in Pool 3 ahead of the weekend’s final round of fixtures.
On the injury front, Conor Murray (elbow), Jack O'Donoghue (shoulder) and Diarmuid Barron (shoulder) all made successful returns against Saracens and came through the game with no issues.
Diarmuid Kilgallen (wrist) also trained fully last week with no issues.
Shane Daly failed a HIA on Saturday evening and will enter the graduated return-to-play protocols.
Peter O’Mahony (calf contusion) will increase his training load and a decision on his availability will be made later in the week.
Mark Donnelly has recovered from the ankle injury he sustained on Emerging Ireland duty and returns to full training this week.

Continuing to rehab: Dave Kilcoyne (thigh), Scott Buckley (calf), Alex Nankivell (hamstring), Thaakir Abrahams (shoulder), Craig Casey (knee), Jean Kleyn (thigh), Liam Coombes (chest), Seán O'Brien (leg), Jeremy Loughman (hip), Josh Wycherley (neck), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
There were 10 Munster players in Energia AIL action for their clubs at the weekend.
Seven players were in Munster derby action in Division 1A with Tony Butler, Jake O’Riordan, Evan O’Connell and Ruadhán Quinn helping Young Munster to a 26-10 victory over Garryowen. Academy trio Dylan Hicks, Jack Oliver and Max Clein started for Garryowen with Clein among the tries as Hicks kicked a conversion and a penalty.
Danny Sheahan helped Cork Constitution to a 26-17 win over UCD in Dublin.
Gene O’Leary Kareem and Michael Foy were in Munster derby action for UCC in Division 1B as they were beaten 38-34 by Nenagh Ormond.
O’Leary Kareem scored a try along with kicking three conversions and a penalty.
In staff news, Head of Athletic Performance Ged McNamara departed the province last month to seek a new challenge.
