Lions flyer Richard Kriel will duel his older brother David when the Vodacom Bulls visit Ellis Park in a URC derby on Saturday afternoon.

The return of Kriel and lock Ruan Delport mark two changes to the Lions team that started in last week’s Challenge Cup thrashing of Dragons.

Ruan Delport slots in at lock for the injured Darrien Landsberg, while Kriel makes his long-awaited return from injury – replacing Tapiwa Mafura on the right wing where he is likely to cross paths with David, starting at outside centre for the Bulls.

Lions captain Francke Horn will combine with Ruan Venter and JC Pretorius in a powerful loose trio, while Etienne Oosthuizen links up with Ruan Delport in the second row.

The front row includes loosehead prop Juan Schoeman, veteran hooker PJ Botha, and big-hitter Asenathi Ntlabakanye.

In the backline, Bok scrumhalf Morne van den Berg partners flyhalf Sam Francis. Henco van Wyk partners Rynhardt Jonker in midfield, while Springbok duo Edwill van der Merwe and Quan Horn complete the backline threat.

On the bench, Jarod Cairns replaces WJ Steenkamp, while speedster Rabz Maxwane and lock Reinhard Nothnagel have been left out due to injury.
