A key member in the Lions backline is reportedly set to part ways with the Johannesburg outfit at the end of the season to join Japanese side Shizuoka Blue Revs.
According to Rapport, the versatile Sanele Nohamba is leaving Ellis Park, with the Sunday newspaper suggesting the 25-year-old’s diminishing role at the franchise played a part in his decision.
Morne van den Berg has become the Lions' first-choice scrumhalf, while Kade Wolhuter and Sam Francis are seemingly ahead of Nohamba in the flyhalf pecking order.

Nohamba's move comes amid growing interest in several Lions players. Inside centre Marius Louw is understood to be in advanced talks with Sale Sharks, while Edinburgh is reportedly eyeing scrumhalf Nico Steyn.
The Lions are also hoping to secure new contracts with key players like winger Edwill van der Merwe and No 8 Francke Horn.
It is understood that Van der Merwe may stay if SARU offers additional financial support as a "player of national interest", while Horn's value is enhanced by his availability outside Test rugby.
