The Lions’ playoff push has been bolstered by the return of two Springboks named in the 28-man squad set for a three-match European tour.

The Pride have a decisive two-week Vodacom United Rugby Championship tour, at Cardiff and Glasgow, before a Challenge Cup round of 16 clash at Edinburgh on 4 April.

The Lions squad has been reinforced by the return of Boks Quan Horn and Henco van Wyk, but Bok scrumhalf Morne van den Berg misses out due to a finger injury suffered during his Man of the Match performance in the 25-22 reverse against the Sharks.

Fit-again Kade Wolhuter is included as flyhalf cover, while Layton Horn has been named for his debut tour with the team.

With playoff qualification at stake, the Lions must collect crucial log points in Wales and Scotland.

The quest begins this week as the squad was scheduled to depart on Monday evening.
