Nothing between EP and Bulls in U16 Girls Week Finale

THURSDAY WRAP: Victories for Boland, Western Province and the Sharks saw these sides extend their respective winning runs on day two of the Under-16 Girls Week at Jeppe High School on Thursday.

Eastern Province and the Bulls had nothing between them as the two sides ended in a 10-all draw.

Western province making a statement


Western province ran away with the Free State - scoring 14 tries in a 88-0 rout.

Wing Tamryn Booysen scored a hat-trick to help the Cape side finish the tournament unbeaten.

Boland claimed their second win this week with a hard-fought 13-0 victory over SWD.

The Sharks had a stellar second half to claim a 22-12 win over the Pumas.

The last match of the day was a low-scoring affair on the Jeppe A Field between the Bulls and Eastern Province.

The Bulls lead 7-5 at half-time - with Bulls flyhalf Jordine Jonkers adding a penalty goal whilst Eastern Province scored an uncovered try in the second half - ending with nothing between the two sides at 10-all.

The U18 tournament will conclude on Friday, July 5 at Jeppe High School with the first round of matches starting at 08.00.

Eastern Province will take on the Golden Lions in the Final match on the A-field kicking off at 14.00.

The clash between Western Province and Boland will kick off at the same time on the B-field
