Ireland international fly-half Jack Crowley has reportedly been offered a massive deal to leave Munster Rugby.
Crowley has been largely overlooked by Ireland at this year’s Six Nations, falling behind Leinster prodigy Sam Prendergast, who has started all five games in the championship so far.
And now Daily Mail Rugby Union correspondent Chris Foy is reporting that Leicester Tigers have been an offer to lure him to the Premiership, in a deal said to be worth in excess of £600,000 a season.
Crowley is not centrally contract and his current deal with Munster expires at the end of the season.
The Tigers are desperate to sign a top-quality fly-half with Springbok star Handre Pollard set to return to South Africa with the Bulls, and deputy Jamie Shillock set to join Brive in France.
No doubt Munster will do everything to retain their talisman, but may struggle to keep him if it comes down to money on the table – unless the IRFU step in with some assistance.
