Irish Rugby hit back on social media over false Jack Crowley claims
Yesterday at 07:24 AM
Nonsense.
Irish Rugby has hit back on X following false claims that they have been "strategically" leaving Munster’s Jack Crowley out of their social media posts ahead of next week’s Six Nations opener with England.
Crowley was Ireland’s starting fly-half during their championship-winning Six Nations campaign last year but lost his place in the starting line-up to Leinster prodigy Sam Prendergast during the Autumn Nations Series against Fiji and Australia.
It remains to be seen who will take the 10 shirt next weekend after both players impressed for their respective provinces in the Champions Cup over the weekend, but Irish Rugby have been quick to squash claims that Crowley has been ‘left out’ on social media.
Hi Philip, we definitely don't strategically include or exclude any player from our content, in fact we try our best to include as many players in our squad as possible across all graphics and in camp content.
Perhaps you missed Jack was part of our squad announcement last week… https://t.co/YADF187LvX

A quick look at their squad announcement last week backs up Ireland’s claim, with Crowley featured prominently alongside captain Caelan Doris and former World Player of the Year, Josh van der Flier.
