Five Munster Players In AIL Action

There were five Munster players in action for their clubs last weekend as round two of the All Ireland League took place.

After a loss to old rivals Terenure the previous week Cork Constitution turned things around to defeat Ballynahinh 51-21 in Temple Hill.

Hooker Scott Buckley was one of the top try scorers on the day as he crashed over twice.

Elsewhere in Division 1A George Hadden and Gordon Wood lined our for Garryowen with Wood scoring a try in the process.

In 1B Shannon staged a great recovery at the back pitch in Thomond Park to defeat Old Wesley 23-13.

Academy player Kieran Ryan packed down in the front row for the  squad on the day.

UCC came out trumps in the Cork derby as they defeated Highfield 39-14.

After debuting for the side just last week Gene Kareem O’Leary was on the scorecard once again as he was one of the five try scorers in the game.
