
DHL Stormers v Connacht: All you need to know

The DHL Stormers are back on home turf and will take on Irish side Connacht in a crucial Vodacom United Rugby Championship encounter at DHL Stadium on Saturday. Here is all you need to know ahead of matchday.
The likes of Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Damian Willemse, Seabelo Senatla and JD Schickerling have all made their return from injury since the last time the DHL Stormers played at home in February and it will be all systems go as they start a sequence of four consecutive home matches ahead of the play-offs.
Lock Ruben van Heerden will lead the team out on the occasion of his 50th DHL Stormers match on what promises to be another great day out at DHL Stadium.
Gates open at 14h00 ahead of kick-off at 16h00, with a host of activations for the whole family to enjoy inside the stadium. The DHL Stormers will get off the team bus on Fritz Sonnenberg Road across from the athletics stadium at 14h20, giving the fans a chance to greet the players as they arrive for the match.
Please do not attempt to park near the stadium, but rather park remotely and make use of the MyCiTi shuttles which are free for all match ticket holders from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square. The first shuttles will leave at 13h30, thereafter, a bus leaves every 20 minutes or when full. The last return bus leaves the Stadium bus station at 20h00.
Public parking is available at the Civic Centre (13h00-20h30) on a first come first served basis, but there will be no parking or MyCiTi shuttles running from the CTICC.
– Gates at DHL Stadium open at 14h00, with kick-off at 16h00. Get there early.
– The beer garden will be open from 14h00 – with a Red Bull DJ playing live, along with food trucks and activations for fans inside the stadium.
– There will also be various sponsor activations around the stadium from 14h00 for the whole family to enjoy.
– Make sure you get there early, park remotely and use the MyCiti shuttles from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square to make the most of what should be a great day out at DHL Stadium.
Match tickets
Tickets are available to purchase at Ticketmaster.co.za. Only tickets purchased via Ticketmaster are valid, tickets purchased from Viagogo or any other third party will not be valid. CLICK HERE for conditions of use of our match tickets.
Ensure that you have downloaded the Ticketmaster app and have your tickets available on your phone before you arrive at the stadium, to make the entry process as easy as possible.
When booking please note:
The South Stand is the party stand. The North Stand is the family stand and blocks 108 and 109 are alcohol free.
Each person entering, regardless of age, requires a match ticket and seat.
Disabled seating at DHL Stadium can be booked by email to [email protected].
There are 110 dedicated, specifically designed wheelchair seats and 138 buddy seats at DHL Stadium with full ramp access and facilities.
Parking and free MyCiTi shuttles
Spectators are urged to park in the city centre and make use of the free MyCiTi bus shuttles which will run from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square bus stations. Simply show your match ticket on entry and get a free ride to the stadium.
Public parking is available at the Civic Centre from 13h00 until 20h30, but there will be no parking or MyCiTi shuttles running from the CTICC.

Use public transport to the bus stations and either catch the free shuttle to the stadium or use the Fan Walk.
There will be limited public parking available at the stadium P9 and P4 parking areas from 13h00. Payment by card purchase for R120.
DHL Stadium is in a residential precinct, so please respect the residents and co-operate with the traffic officials on duty. Please note that vehicles that are illegally parked will be fined and/or towed away.
Ticket holders with disabilities must please formally request access to the parking bays dedicated in P5 for people with disabilities, by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. These parking bays are limited and available on a first-come first-served basis to those with disabled parking permits. ER24 medical assistance is available from this point for those that require it.
Road closures
There will be no access to Vlei Road, while Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Stephan Way, and Granger Bay Boulevard and Fort Wynyard Street will all be closed. There will be restrictions on Helen Suzman Boulevard and Somerset Road from 06h00.
E-Hailing
There will be a dedicated e-hailing drop-off area on Helen Suzman Boulevard between York Circle and Beach Road with a stacking area at Green Point bowling greens, but spectators are warned that drop-and-go and pick-up in this area will have long delays due to expected traffic congestion.
Other information
Please note that umbrellas are prohibited at DHL Stadium and will not be allowed into the stadium. The stadium and event organiser will not take responsibility for umbrellas left at the stadium entrance gates. Please bring a rain jacket should there be a threat of rain.
No spectators will be allowed to take food or drink into the stadium. There is also no braaing allowed anywhere in the stadium precinct, including all public parking areas. Those found braaing will be fined.
The lost and found in the stadium is now located at Foyer A, Level Two.
Spectators are urged to be aware of the threat of car jamming in parking areas.
Please also be wary of pickpockets at the stadium and keep your valuables close to you at all times.
All seats are numbered. All spectators must please sit in the correct seat as allocated on the tickets.
Please note that no spectator is allowed access to the pitch. Any person invading the pitch can be prosecuted as this is a criminal offence.
DHL Stadium is a smoke/vaping free building. Smoking is permitted in designated areas on Level 02 Podium (outside). No smoking/vaping is allowed in any suites or on the stands.

Flagpole or banner pole of any kind, unless it is made from inflammable and flexible plastic and does not exceed 1 metre in length 1cm in diameter
