Why did you want to be affiliated with The Sharks as an official Supporters venue?
Forries has a long history of being an avid supporter of rugby and we have hosted many a game with our ardent supporters of both local and international teams.
We are proud to be the Official Supporter's Venue for the Sharks in the Cape and will shout for them in any game. The only exception that may be made amongst our team is when they play against the Stormers!
What is it like to watch rugby at Forries?
On a Rugby day, the atmosphere is electric! It is exhilarating to be amongst the jubilant supporters, and the building literally rocks when a try is scored and converted!
What would you recommend pairs best with rugby from your kitchen?
We are famous for our thin-based pizzas, which always goes down well with a beer or glass of wine. Our delicious, tender steaks served with artisan chips is another Forries favourite for the hearty eater.
What makes Forries such a special venue in Cape Town?
We date back to 1852, and are the oldest pub in the country. We have had generations of people pass through our doors and we fondly refer to our patrons and staff as our 'Forries Family'.
