The one player Parker wants to see Brisbane chase for 2025

Brisbane Broncos legend Corey Parker has urged the club to pick up a veteran NRL forward in order to boost the club's experienced bodies in the front line.

The 2023 Grand Finalist struggled in the forward line without the likes of Tom Flegler and Kurt Capewell this season and are now reportedly searching the open market for some new recruits.

After being linked to the likes of Christian Welch and Corey Horsburgh, there's one name that sticks amongst the rest as an ideal recruit to the Broncos according to Parker.

"The one player that I've had circled in my diary that I would love to see at the Broncos is Reagan Campbell-Gillard," Parker said on SENQ Breakfast.

"Reagan Campbell-Gillard in the right dynamic I feel can certainly have a really, really positive effect.

"At the moment he's your typical play one front rower, aggressive, straight up and down, big and goes after that collision.

"When you look at Brisbane's forward pack, at the moment it's Corey Jensen and Payne Haas. Pat Carrigan and Haas play long minutes but don't have that real aggressive side to them, which is fine because they bring other attributes.

"Reagan Campbell-Gillard however, certainly has that big-game experience but more importantly he has a real aggressive side in the way he plays the game."

The Parramatta Eels have been criticised for allowing Campbell-Gillard to leave a year early on his current deal but due to salary cap constraints, the former NSW Blue has seemingly been forced out of the club.

"It's led to believe that he's on $650k next year at the Parramatta Eels," Parker added.

"If the Broncos were able to grab him for say around $450k, $500k with a little tip in for the Parramatta Eels, I think he'd be a terrific pickup."

Campbell-Gillard was reportedly close to agreeing on a deal with the St George Illawarra Dragons but those negotiations fell apart due to the player's request for a three-year deal.
